Tyler didn't quit really he just changed names because I quit but he still running a server with a different name, but reset everyone.

well, i believe it was the source or something, or boss is just being him self and trying something new again after again........ but after all, all the precaution jack is taking, also including all the time he spent on the server, you will be assured that it will be a new, better, more enjoyable version of the game so just have patients and the best will come :-).
